Day #4 Wrap-up

The first semi-final had Spryfield Attack defeat the Tignish Aces by a score of 10-1. The lone goal scorer for the Aces was Alex Brennan, while scoring for the Attack were Andre LeBlanc, Dominic Agostini, Nick Marshall, Brock Hamilton and with 2 goals apiece Justin Mabe, Alex Armstrong and Tyler Cameron. The Attack out shot the Aces by a count of 55-18. The MVP for the Aces was the goaltender Chase Dyment and for the Attack was Alex Mader.

The second semi-final saw the Hampton Hurricanes defeat the Kivalliq Canucks 6-5. The goal scorers for the Canucks were Nap Karetak and Butch Sigurdson with 2 goals each and the lone goal scorer was Roy Kopak. The goal scorers for the Hurricanes were Jared Kyle, Chris Mason and scoring a pair of goals each were Thomas Rice and Matt Porter. there was a100 shots on goal with the both teams having 50 each. The game MVP's were Nap Karetak for Kivillaq and Matt Porter for the Hurricanes.

The Championship game will be played at 2 PM on Sunday with the Hamption Hurricanes(NB) facing the Spryfield Silver and Black Attack(NS).

Awards Banquet Results

Day 4 started with the awards banquet served at the firehall by the firemen and ladies auxillary.
 
The All-star team consisted of:
Forwards - from the Spryfield Attack (NS) Alex Armstrong, from the Hampton Hurricanes (NB) James Hill and from the Kivalliq Canucks (HN) Wendel Kaludjak.
Defense - from the Tignish Aces(PEI) Kirk Ramsay and from the Spryfield Attack (NS) Tony Hart.
Goaltender - Matthew Ingraham from the Hampton Hurricanes (NB).
 
Most Sportmanlike Player was Mathieu Bourgeois from the Spryfield Attack (NS)
 
MVP was Matt Gardner from the Kivalliq Canucks (HN).
Day #3 Wrap-up

Another win for the Spryfield Silver and Black Attack to close out the day earned them the top seed in the playoff round after they defeated the host South Shore Wild 6-1 on Friday night.
 
Earlier in the day, Alex Armstrong scored a power-play goal in the third period which enabled the Attack to edge the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces 3-2.  Tyler Tattuinee and Wendal Kaludjak had four points each as the Kivalliq Canucks defeated the South Shore Wild 8-1, and Jared Kyle and Chris Mason scored 13 seconds apart in the second period as the Hampton Hurricanes came from behind to tie the Canucks 2-2 in the supper time game.
 
In Saturday's semi-finals, #1 Spryfield will take on #4 Tignish at 4pm, with #2 Kivalliq taking on #3 Hampton at 7pm.  The host South Shore Wild have been eliminated.
